Knight Rider in HD

Once you go HD – SD is simply unacceptable. Have to give kudos to Universal HD which has converted lots of classic tv shows into HD. Just watched an episode of Knight Rider in HD, Lots of good memories. Growing up I loved that show and undoubtedly it as well as a few other shows led me to become an engineer before the law career.

I finally figured out how to make ringtones for my Verizon Wireless 7130e Blackberry. I used the open source Audacity audio editor to select and convert the file into the proper format. It really is nice having mp3 ringtones – my old blackberry, the 7250, just did mono midi tones.

I have decided to get a new Mac – looks like the new intel Imac. I still have a few PCs running up in my office, but they are really getting old and slow and I only use them for rare tasks. Still deciding on how to connect my music collection to the basement AV system. Probably will use the Xbox 360 to connect to the mac wirelessly. Assuming I ever can get an Xbox 360.

HD Beat offers great HDTV content

One of the weblogs I read daily in addition to Engadget is HD Beat. Here is a recent post from their blog:

Jake "The Snake" PlummerWhat we’re watching: Two of the best AFC teams in the NFL take to the 1080i gridiron on CBS tonight. The Patriots step up to Mile-High Stadium to tackle the Broncos at 8 p.m. and this game could go either way. If for any reason the game gets one-sided (which I doubt), I’ll be jacking in to “The Matrix” on TNT-HD at 10:30 p.m. for a 1080i showing. The Oracle already told me who wins the football game anyway…

Purdue quarterback Kirsch declares for NFL draft

Purdue quarterback Kirsch declares for NFL draft:

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue quarterback Brandon Kirsch will forgo his final season of eligibility and enter the NFL draft.

“I had a good time at Purdue, but I feel that it’s time for me to move on,” Kirsch said Friday in a news release issued by the school. “I went through the evaluation process, talked to a lot of people and got some good reviews. That made the decision a little easier.”

Last season, Kirsch started six times and played in eight games, completing 59.1 percent of his…

Did I miss something? He only started in six games and didn’t play Ohio State or Michigan this year. Another year could really help him. Oh well.
