I upgraded the blog today – during the upgrade I used a new version of my FTP program Transmit3. Apparently I wasn’t paying attention when I moved the upgrade files to the server and I ended up checking to replace and MIRROR the files – which ended up deleting all extra files in the directory. What this resulted in was a loss of many images from the blog – mainly those images that I use ecto for and I had not previous set the default to store the images in the archive directory. Oh well – lesson painfully learned.
Yesterday was Thunder over Louisville. Brrrr. It was very cold. Friday the high in Louisville was 80 degrees. Saturday was a completely different story. The high was around 44 degrees. The wind was the real problem. Down by the river the wind was 20 to 30 miles per hour. Heather and I ventured out into the elements to join some other attorneys from the firm and our clients for Thunder. Luckily we had a tent and it was heated. Heated is a very broad concept as it was still very cold in the tent. Unless you were right in front of the heater it was still freezing. Luckily we kept dry and the fireworks as always were awesome.
Less than two weeks until the Kentucky Oaks & Derby!! So looking forward to betting on the ponies. Go Baby Go!
As I mentioned in a previous post, I started another blog www.iproundtable.com which was hopefully going to be a group collaborative effort – but it has become apparent that I will have to carry this effort by myself. I think I will ask some other IP folks I know to help contribute some content.
Speaking of blogs – I have started yet another one www.bigslammers.com which will follow the trials and tribulations of the firm’s softball team in the Cincinnati Bar Association softball league. The Big Slammers have won the loser’s bracket championship the last two years. This year they go for the threepeat.

I haven’t had much time to keep up the blog lately. Its spring and the calendar is packed both at work and at home. Only two weeks until Thunder Over Louisville and 1 month until the Derby!!!
Baseball has started. Went to opening day for the Reds – great game with a comeback win in the bottom of the 9th. I ended up getting the Major League package on Directv this year – hoping to catch more Indians games as well as the Tigers (who I think could win their division – I wish it were the Indians, but the Tigers would be great as well). Golf clubs in the car – ready for some action.
My big Spring/Summer project is that I am going to finish my basement and install a home theater/media room, bar and bathroom. In addition, I hope to install new countertops and ceramic tile flooring in the kitchen. Massive home improvements – I plan to keep the progress of the project here in the blog. I am going to start getting estimate in the next week or so and hopefully the project will begin in early May.
I am also heading to Philadelphia in May for the AIPLA Spring Meeting. Looking forward to visiting Philly again as well as seeing some great friends.
Derby CD’s are done and in the mail – if you didn’t get yours – oops!
Here is the cover photo.
That’s it for now – but hopefully I will be posting more often.
